Top 10 Suggestions

For a Great Day at Tech 2003:

1.  Limit Equipment – Security is very tight now at the Capitol. Every piece of equipment entering may be checked. This could slow the setup considerably. You will be provided with a 6-foot table – plan accordingly.

2.  No Projection Devices – There isn’t enough room for a projection device and screen. Computer monitors are big enough (but don’t bring large TVs or monitors – they’re hard to carry up the stairs). Many schools bring laptops.

3.  Nothing can be attached to the walls. Many Tech 2003 schools bring a freestanding display to set atop their table.

4.  No Video-conferencing – We don’t have the bandwidth for it.

5.  Handouts – If you bring them, have about 50 copies.

6.  Don’t bring along too many kids – This is a busy place, there will be over 500 Tech 2003 participants alone, hundreds of employees and hundreds of visitors.

7.  Keep the Noise Down – This is a workplace, so please limit music levels.

8.  Bring Several Power Strips.

9.  If your presentation is in the morning, clear out at the end of your session. Another school will be using your table in the afternoon.

10. Look for the Tech 2003 helpers in Tech 2003 t-shirts for assistance.
